superfighter Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 im looking for some good chop socky entertainment again, anybody recommend some good films, preferably ones that came out recently
Jeffrey Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 The only one that has come lately was the Ninja Assassin movie. If you were a Matrix fan this one would be a good see. Lots of blood so if you have a weak stomach it may not be for you.
beagstkd Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I'm not into the defying gravity type movies so it's hard to find anything new that doesn't have that. Never Back Down was pretty good if you're into MMA. It's somewhat of a Karate Kid but it tries to show he had to do some true training, not the wax-on/wax-off stuff.
palerider79 Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 "Red Belt" was pretty good too. "Karate is a lot like hot water. If you do not constantly heat it - it will once again become cool water".
quinteros1963 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Yip Man is a good one. Also try Ong Bak 1 and 2. The past is no more; the future is yet to come. Nothing exist except for the here and now. Our grand business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what's clearly is clearly at hand...Lets continue to train!
CTTKDKing Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Thank you with the Ong Bak reference, and Tony Jah also stars in the Protector which is similar in plot but also involves a cute baby elephant. "The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering."
isshinryu5toforever Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Ip Man is pretty good. As long as you're not into movies for the historical accuracy that one is good. Fighter in the Wind is pretty decent. He who knows others is wise. He who knows himself is enlightened.- Tao Te Ching"Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain."- Sun Tzu, the Art of War
