circa02 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I have some questions regarding this obscure art. Does it teach to defend against multiple attackers?Against weapons? can it be an effective street art? Thanks.
sensei8 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 First of all, I'm not a practitioner of Shuai jiao at all. What I've read about Shuai jiao lends me to conclude that it has the capability of being effective as to every question you pose in your OP. After all, Shuai jiao continues to be taught in the police and military academies of China.So...yeah....I wouldn't doubt its effectiveness. **Proof is on the floor!!!
MMA_Jim Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Every martial art is taught to military/police/ security at one part of the world or another.Modern wars are fought with tanks, guns, aircraft, and naval vessels. Hand to hand combat (UNARMED hand to hand combat at that) is probably the least of any army's concern, and the least of their expertise. That being said, I dont have much to say about the art in question, but if any style attempts to teach you how to fight multiple attackers- walk away from it.
