SBN Doug
Well if your instructor disapproves, then definately never mind. I agree, it is all in the head. For my daughter, it helped her get past it. But I can see where it wouldn't work the same for everyone. ltr Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing. SaiFightsMS
I was thinking about breaking after I read the braking thread in the Tae Kwon Do section and remembered something. The man in the power breaking championship on ESPN who dislocated his shoulder (and immediately had someone pop it right back into place) has also been a speed breaking champion. Also, in the family, his wife competed one year in the creative breaking division. Their style is Issh-in ryu. Hey some of the Issh-in ryu people have reall kick butt attitudes when it comes to their training. And they look and seem like such mild mannered people. Joecooke007
In kung fu there is a system called Iron Palm. It consists of hitting bags filled with different materials for a period of time. After a while your hands become so calluosed that they can break brick. Easily! Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
longarm25
The breaking on espn is not that impressive lets see them try it with out the spacers, If there are spacers its a speed break...............
