RichardZ
Well, champions of open competition are different than females who have used their abilities in self defense. Though I acredit all who have made accomplishments like Vu Thi Nguyet Anh and Sofiya Kaspulatova.

Kajukenbopr
one word: jujitsu <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty
Kajukenbopr
ok, that was truly bland of me I will explain my comment.I think u should go with Japanese jujitsu because its the closest japanese grappling art to karate. Jujitsu teaches the core techniques that make up the arts of Aikido, and Judo - aikido emphasizes on the small joint manipulations of jujitsu, and momentum to help these along. Judo is the perfected art of throwing techniques from jujitsu.Jujitsu contains material covered in both arts plus striking very similar to Karate, including the footwork used.It should be an easy transition from Karate into Japanese Jujitsu, and a very hard transition into Brazilian Jujitsu or aikido. <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty
Patrick
Thank you, Kajukenbopr, for elaborating. bub4444
Thanks for the advice, but I don't believe that there are any JJJ schools in Toronto, and most people here agreed on Judo. I will start Judo in January. (if someone can find a JJJ school in Toronto, I'd check it out)
