JusticeZero Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Well, I generally see a style as referring to a specific bundle of techniques, theories, methodologies, and philosophies that (hopefully) work together toward a specific goal with a coherent strategic doctrine. It doesn't need to be 'new', just a viable unique construction. Lots of people are teaching things that are to whatever level not viable, though.. bushido_man96 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Let me stir the stew! BTW, I'm not speaking about TaeBoJitDo at all! I'm speaking in general! Okie dokie?!Especially nowadays...New methodology/ies? Yes! New theory/ies? Yes! New principle(s)? Yes! New martial art? NO!!!After all, just how many different NEW effective ways can one punch/kick/block/strike/ETC????Yes and/or No? Well, its kind of like Lee said about "styles." We all have the same numbers of arms and legs, so the only way he thought a different "style" could come about was if someone had 3 arms or something like that. ps1 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 What does Taebojitdo mean? It seems like a few different languages combined. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
