The Shotokan school im in charges £10 for each kyu grade, and £30 for Dan Grades. All fee's include a new belt.

I don't charge for any kind of testing. My sensei's school charges for 1st dan, but it covers costs of belt and certificates and such. When I tested for my 3rd Dan I didnt pay anything - I paid for it by teaching for the last 3 years... how I believe it should be.

At my school its $10 for stripes and $20 for a belt.

Black Belt is $350 this covers belt certificates and a minimum of 8 BB tests.

We test at least 8 tests every three months.

Our school starts at $25 and goes up from there to $100 for 1st Dan.

I've just paid for a dan testing... and it was very painful for my bank account. £100 plus 175 euros international registration fee.

For many years I charged:

$20 for 9-7 kyu tests

$25 for 6-4 kyu tests

$30 for 3-1 kyu tests

$100 for Dan tests

Then about 15 years ago or so I quit charging...period. They can buy their belts locally at a TKD dojang, or I can order them one.
