Iron Arahat Posted August 11, 2001 Posted August 11, 2001 Good old "Fight Club"... I have been to one. but did not fight. It was comical the fight I saw. Looked like two drunk (or drugged up) greased up wrestler rolling around the floor. A friend took me there to watch, and was telling me that you can make money at this. I just saw it as a good way to get really hurt, because alot of these guys took it too far. There used to be a couple websites up and about promoting clubs like this. Too dangerous if you ask me, you may end up killing someone by accident then what? No waiver can save you then. MuayTB1 Posted August 11, 2001 Posted August 11, 2001 No, I watch to much Bruce Lee movies. Could you tell me some site that promote this kind of thing? I just want to know. ToughMan is really bad because the people there has almost no skills. I am aiming for K-1. Hey, I am young, still got time. "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
Iron Arahat Posted August 11, 2001 Posted August 11, 2001 The site that used to promote a "fight club" in Calgary, Alberta has since shut down. It was hosted on biznet. What screwed it up was the Calgary Herald posted the site address in the newspaper...the site had the meeting location and times... Needless to say the site shut down quickly there after. Was a couple others...but I can't recall the addresses... Martial Arts School http://www.shaolinwushu.cahttp://www.liveyyc.comCalgary Photographer: http://www.jdirom.com
Danny boy Posted August 12, 2001 Posted August 12, 2001 These sort of events are pretty popular in the Brazilian Night club scene, they sometimes end with all in brawls and occasionally end in a death. If you want to make a living from fighting ,try fighting in kickboxing, muay thai or NHB events that are sanctioned and organized by real promoters not guys who will sneek out the back door if someone is killed. Fighting for money is a sport with rules and you should never forget this, you train as an athelete if you just want to Kill someone try the Commandos and Navy seals and be trained properly.
moobrack Posted August 12, 2001 Posted August 12, 2001 I agree. Take note guys Anthony Bullock1st Dan Black Belt - Shotokan Karate5th Kyu Yellow Belt - Aiki-Jutsuhttps://www.universaldojo.com Coming Soon
Joecooke007 Posted November 30, 2001 Posted November 30, 2001 The subject of this thread tells it all. Illegal fights are well... Illegal but they are probably the best to train with. In illegal fights you will have to defend from moves that you may not see in the dojo. Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
ThaiBoxeo Posted December 1, 2001 Posted December 1, 2001 MuayTB1, if you want to be in K1 you need to be at least 210 pounds and be a world champ in your muay thai organization, so you can get noticed.
