TheArtofDave Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I've never understood what the benefit of this was. Usually everybody likes to make something a competition. They won't listen when you tell them I'm not competing with you. I have just as much love and passion as you do for martial arts. My life, and my art helps me achieve a greater purpose so I'm content with all things.Everything doesn't have to be a competition. No art is really better than the other one. If that were the case so many of them would not be available for us to learn. So I agree that it is definitely and honor and a privelige to be able to train. One we should all appreciate, and enjoy discussing instead of arguing
Truestar Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 MMmmmmmmm. I guess I'm on the fence.Yeah, be happy your training. But I don't think you should accept or be "happy" with inadequate training.Yeah, say you're training. Maybe you have slightly better conditioning or you kind of look like what you're doing...If I was in a McDojo and suddenly saw what the Martial Arts really were...I'd be a little more than slightly "upset".
