whess Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 well I obviously didnt mean practice the wrong way, because that wouldnt be practice at all
Killer Miller Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 I was just making a clarification on the statement that's all. Too many practioners think that all they have to do is to do anything in repetition will make then good at something. Unfortunately, too many practice wrong and pick up bad habits or injur themselves in the process.- Killer -well I obviously didnt mean practice the wrong way, because that wouldnt be practice at all Mizu No KokoroShodan - Nishiyama SenseiTable Tennis: http://www.jmblades.com/Auto Weblog: http://appliedauto.mypunbb.com/Auto Forum: http://appauto.wordpress.com/

Killer Miller Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 That's kind of a tough one to answer over the internet. It's more of a training concept that is taught to you. Perhaps if you were a bit more specific in your question I would be able to give you a better answer. Example: Best way to achieve speed during Lunge Punch (oi-tsuki)? or My leg drags when doing lunch punch - etc...- Killer -Practice, practice, practice the wrong way = perfection of bad technique.Practice, practice, practice the proper way = Perfection- Killer -practice practice practiceWhat is the proper way to practice? bushido_man96 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 The best would be to consult with your instructor, and ask for details. Then, drill those little things until you get them down, and then add them altogether, and practice some more. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
tallgeese Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 The best way to practice, that's a good follow up. Like has been said, make sure you get with a senior student or instructor to get some specifcs on how everything works. When you drill solo, it's really important to hit the specifics, the small details. This is where you can really gain some ground. Slow, precise movements are good. Really think about them and make the reps perfect. This goes a long way.I know, you want to train for speed. "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast" is a good mantra on this front. By ingraining smooth, correct motion you really build in speed. http://alphajiujitsu.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJhRVuwbm__LwXPvFMReMww
