DWx Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 http://www.totallytkd.com/Came across this and I have to say its probably one of the best TKD magazines I've read. All the issues are free online and they have some really good stuff in there for ITF, WTF and other TKD (although at the minute it seems to be a little ITF orientated). Loads of historical pieces too which look at some of the early pioneers. Worth checking out for anyone in TKD or a related style. "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius
bushido_man96 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Thanks for sharing that, Danielle. When I get my other computer back up and running, I may have to look into printing out some of those issues. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
sensei8 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 That's about one of the best on-line mags I've ever seen! Solid! Even though I'm primarily Karate, I've some TKD background, still, I know a great magazine when I see one! Thanks for sharing!AWESOME! **Proof is on the floor!!!
ninjanurse Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 It is good...some great history lessons in there! Thanks! "A Black Belt is only the beginning."Heidi-A student of the artsTae Kwon Do,Shotokan,Ju Jitsu,Modern Arnishttp://the100info.tumblr.com/
joesteph Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 This is a nice find. I read Issue 5, then went to Issue 1, which has a cultural article, "Taekwon-Do Numerology," by Dani Steinhoff, on p. 20. It refers to the Samtaeguk, or cirle with three swirling colors--red, blue, and yellow--to represent heaven, earth, and man. It seems that the number three is the "lucky" number in the Far East, not the number seven, and the number four is comparable to our number 13.Incidentally, I noticed that photos in Totally TKD aren't dominated by black belts. Even the numerology article was written not by a dan member but by a 1st Gup.Thanks for the link, DWx. ~ JoeVee Arnis Jitsu/JuJitsu

bushido_man96 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I did notice that. That alone really makes it worth checking out.I also saw that he has a new hardback edition of his book coming out. I wish he would hurry and get volume 2 out there! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
