Lyoto Machida ended the brief title reign of light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans with power, patience and precision on Saturday in the featured bout at UFC 98.

The unbeaten Machida dominated the match from the start, as he delivered three knockdowns against the champion and finished him with a brutal left hook. The final blow left Evans unconscious against the cage and brought a rousing conclusion to the first title bout between two undefeated fighters in UFC history.

It was a great fight, hopefully it will bring Karate back into the spotlight.

It was a little boring at first when they were feeling each other out but Machida did very well against Evans.

Machida's post fight with Joe Rogan was very cool. Gracious in victory and finishes with "Karate is back!"

I just love how the karate influence, being a different striking base than boxing and MT, i sso confounding to everyone he's fought.
