NBrack527
Hello,I'm new to the forum. I'm looking for some feedback for the Cool Guard Breast Protector and the Cool Guard Super Breast Protector. Here is a link for the Cool Guard (not the Super). http://www.karatedepot.com/pr-fe-36.htmlThe "super" seems to have softer protection cups. I really don't need a ton of protection. Just want something that will give me a little protection during class when we're doing self defense. I'm tired of getting hit in the chest by teenagers who can't seem to find any other part of my body to hit.Curious if anyone has ever used something like this and what they think. nanook660
I have never tried the cool guard one.The one I use is the Kamikaze Chest Protector with Sport Bra. I find it provides more protection then the ones that just have these cup inserts. With the Chest Plate your sternum is protector as well from hits. Comfort wise it is not that bad.http://www.kamikaze.com/securestore/c52666p16454646.2.html The only difference between the possible and the impossible is one's will. - Hironori Ohtsuka Sensei -
white owl
I have the cool guard I like them because they are easy to slip in and out. The problem though I had is I am well in endowed, so I had to get the largest size in the plastic guards and it still was not big enough and the sports bra that came with it was to big for me, way to big, go figure. But I hope with my recent weight loss and hopefully the continue weight loss that the will fit better. But back to them being to small they left small bruises when I got hit in them but it was a very hard hit and I did not feel a thing, it was very nice for a change.Ya, what is up with teenage boys. That seems to be the only place that they want to hit at and when they do they laugh about it every time they hit there, at least in my experience. But let them hit them guards bare handed it will not be pleasant for them.
NBrack527
Thanks so much for the feedback. That Kamikaze one is interesting. I'm not sure if I really need that much protection. I'm thinking I'll try the Cool Guard to start.. see how that works. I don't have to worry about being too large for it... more like too small ;0! If I find that it isn't what I want, I'll definitely try the Kamikaze..would love to see some of those teenagers hit into that one! Thanks again!Natasha

JohnASE
... I had to get the largest size in the plastic guards and it still was not big enough and the sports bra that came with it was to big for me, way to big...Cool Guard bras and inserts are available separately. You didn't say what size bra you have, but the XL inserts should fit in either the XL or Large bras. They're not recommended for the Medium bras. I assume the pockets are too small.Sometimes, women will buy extra bras for a single set of inserts so they don't have to wash them every time they work out.
