KarateAndy
Hi there,Which books on Karate can you highly recommend? Ossu,Andyhttp://www.karatebooks.net
joesteph
A book I'd bought years ago and is still worthy of reading to peer into the mind of a genius is the "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" by Bruce Lee. It's not a long book at all, and the drawings are more for the reader to understand than to picture exactly, as photos would be, plus it's filled with common sense thoughts/observations, such as (p. 39), "[Y]our strike should be felt before it is seen." ~ JoeVee Arnis Jitsu/JuJitsu

KarateAndy
Cool, thanks guys.Re topics: Any topics related to Karate are fine to be honest: Karate Do, Techniques, Kata, Strategy, Shotokan, History, Kumite, Bunkai, etc.I had a couple of 'not-so-good'-ones hence I'd rather rely on recommendations as opposed to buying blindly.Hope that makes sense. vashogun
Tallgese mentioned "Living the Martial Way" I'm asuming by Forest P. Forgan USAF ret. I would just like to double that recomendation with personal testimony. This book CHANGED MY LIFE. Seriously, its in my opinion the best book on martial arts in general ever written, and deffinitely the best in the last twenty five years. I love Bruce Lee's work to. But specifically Living the Martial Way was a huge help and inspiration for me. If your really serious about martial arts and want it to be a life style not just a hobby, its the best read you can buy IMO. To preserve the enemies armies is best, to destroy their armies, second best.
