Traymond
Has any one ever tried to use the iai techniques of Iaido using a jo, and if so what techniques have you done with it, im just curious as to how people train using the kobudo weapons in other various ways as such by symbolizing other weapons. bushido_man96
Wouldn't it be kind of tough to do Iai techniques with a jo, because they involve the drawing of the sword? Just wondering; it seems like it would be ackward to me. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Traymond
If you cannot afford a saya, how do you practice iai techniques with the bokken, using your hand or using your obi...thats how I use to do it before I could afford the saya. bushido_man96
I think the bokken would function a bit better, since the jo is a bit longer than the bokken, and not balanced as such. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
