I don't think any form of karate has any animal totem that it bases itself on.

I think that its more beneficial to take those animal qualities and apply them to yourself.

for instance, basing your style on a bear's attack probably won't do me much good if I weigh 120 lbs. However, it might work if I based it on a leopard.

Uechi Ryu's style has only three animals and their attacks are base around them.

The dragon, the Crane and the tiger. IN most kobudo styles they mimic the crane and the large cats such as the lion, tiger, and jaguar.

My style Shinchuuroun Te uses these animals

Crane: Stances and Attacks

Tiger: Fierceness

Jaguar: Speed

Snake: Strategy

And around the animals the beauty of the martial arts are truly exposed...in my own opinion that is

does a tornado count :) ??? just saying because in pinan yondan, on the very last two moves, we use ni mae uke and a hook that our style created, and my shihan always refers to it as a tornado... so i guess..... :)
