I watched a pretty good portion of it. I wasn't surprised Heath Ledger won for Dark Knight. While he did a great job and it was deserved, I really question.... would he have won the award if he was still alive?

I've wondered that myself.

I watched the last half of it, and the farther along it went, the less I wished I'd watched.

All they should be allowed to say is "thank you" when they take that award....

I always like watching the awards but I prefer the old way that they used to run it. I didn't like this new style. Billy Crystal used to crack me up the way he ran the awards.

Also, I really wish they would be more strict about time limit in the "thank you" speeches. The acceptance speeches are getting more and more drawn out --- and it annoys me when celebrities use the podium to voice their political preferences. Like, who cares - it's about movies - not politics!
