JohnKeats Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I am wondering, while practizing the Tensho kata of Shito Ryu, should I move slowly and with a tense body, or just flow it (I forgot to ask it yesterday at class).Thanks.
Traymond Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 All the techniques are done while in Tension, but you also have to try and learn to differentiate on differant techniques. Like they are also suppose to be tense, but not to tense where you cannot let it flow though.Tensho is an extremely easy kata, not alot of movement, so you have to focus on the parts that are small to make this kata look good. Espina Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I agree with Traymond, it's a simple kata, so focus in perfect positioning and good dynamic tension
