kamahlthedruid
I think traditional jujitsu would be awesome because they also teach weapons such as bo staff and sais like karate.
kamahlthedruid
Aikido isn't bad; however, the typical aikido fighter sucks because of the way he trains (not ancient samurai way). This is what I heard from my old instructor who is a daito ryu fighter and aikido fighter.
bushido_man96
The main knock on Aikido is the training methods involved in some schools. They don't focus enough on applications outside what they work from their traditional attacks, and rely too much on the other person's energy at times. There are some really good things to learn from Aikido. Making sure to find more practical ways to train the applications can help immensely. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Capt Jakk
Be on the look out for a dojo with a separate Kobudo program. My old dojo did this and there were quite a few people who only did the weapons program at the school. This would free you to look into any other style of martial arts you would wish to train in. Akikazeninja
I train in taijutsu and commando krav maga and both rely a lot on weapons locks and throws I used to do tang soo do and it was ok but when I switched to these I got addicted. The path leading to anger and conflict is wide and easy to travel the path leading to self control and discipline is narrow and difficult
