tsdprime93 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Just wanted to get to know some other C.S. Kim TSD brothers and sisters. I train under C.S. Kim's Indiana school under SBN Richard Behr. I am a first Dan getting ready for Second Dan and I frequently train under GM Kim at the headquarters. bushido_man96 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Not a TSD guy myself, but I do have his book, and I really think it is a great text. I would like to have a chance to look into a TSD school sometime, but there are none in my area.Anywho, if you haven't checked out his book, you should do so. Its a touch pricey, but still well put together. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
tsdprime93 Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 I have read bits and pieces of his book on occaision when my SBN brings it in, but I haven't had the chance to buy it. Every time I get the money to buy it , something unfortunate happens like I snap my staff in half during tourny...haha that has happened more than once. But this year as my E dan gift from my SBN he said he may get me a copy which would be nice.Have you ever read any of GM Hwang Kee's text? bushido_man96 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 No, I have not. Where can I track one down at? Are they readily available, or out of print? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
tsdprime93 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 As far as I know they are still in print and they can be found in larger city libraries and on some websites...amazon.com and other large sellers. tenshinka Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 It is available direct from the US Soo Bahk Do Federation, for an outrageous amount...Like $150 (to non-members)...Its SOOOO not worth it.
granitemiller Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I am not a TSD practitioner however I see GM Kim at least 3-4 times a year at open tournaments. He is a great man. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" Confuciushttp://graniteshotokan.wordpress.com
