Even kids will get asked for a potential application during testing. And for our 1-step, 2-step 3-step etc. you're expected to apply moves from the forms as well as other techniques you may have learnt. As for being boring, yeah I guess if you have no appreciation for them in the first place it could be rather boring to watch.
