Once you are Orange belt and join Fight Club (sparring) you get to wear a red gi. After that the black belts wear a black gi. If you are an instructor you wear black pants and whit top w/ black trim to remind you of the sins you carry with you at all times. Budderfly Posted June 9, 2003 Share Posted June 9, 2003 In Tong Moo Do, we start with a plain white Dobak (Korean for uniform) with the school crest. You can get the Canada/Korea flag crest too, but it's optional. After about 1 year into the journey, and you show that you want to makw the commitment, you join the Black Belt Club. You get a new uniform of Black pants and White top. You also get a Black Belt with your name embroidered on it put on the "Wall of Goals" and it stays there until you earn it. Excellent motivation tactic. The SWAT team of instructors have Red Tops and Black Pants. The Demo team has Blue Tops (with embroidery on the back) and Black Pants.
