joesteph Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Holyfield wants back into the ring and to regain his championship. This article was in the 12/17/08 New York Times. Do you think Holyfield has a chance? Will make a good showing? ~ JoeVee Arnis Jitsu/JuJitsu
bushido_man96 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 I hope he makes a good showing. I don't know how competitive the heavyweight division is right now; I haven't been able to keep up for quite some time.I always liked Holyfield, the way he carried himself, and the way he fought. The guy was a total beast when he was younger. I'd hate to see him come back, and then have a finish like De La Hoya did here recently. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
bushido_man96 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 He lost his fight via decision: http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3784052One judged scored the bout a draw, while the others had Valuev winning 116-112 and 115-114."Of course I am disappointed," Holyfield said. "I thought I had done enough to get the win. Now I have to go home and think about my future." https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
