fallenyuyu Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 What do you most value in martial arts (experience, strength, speed, etc...)
joesteph Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 For my young children, personal development, both emotionally and physically. For myself, the opportunity to share, have an active role, in this development they're undergoing. ~ JoeVee Arnis Jitsu/JuJitsu
tallgeese Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I'm assuming you mean how do you rank the attributes or methods that make one a skilled fighter. It's a very complex answer with alot of nuances that really depends on what you want to do. You can also look at the question from numerous angles. For myself, simply put, I value hard, realistic training that mimics reality as close as possible. http://alphajiujitsu.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJhRVuwbm__LwXPvFMReMww
bushido_man96 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I enjoy the challenge that training offers for me, physically. I also constantly think about different things when it comes to my training, and how I can do things to help me, should I need to apply the skills I have learned. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
tori Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I guess I value the time I get to spend teaching and polishing my own skills. I love sharing with other students, whether they are children or adult. Live life, train hard, but laugh often.

Tiger1962 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 There's a variety of things I value in m.a. - becoming proficient and skillful in it brings me satisfaction - that's one of many things. white owl Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 There is a lot of things that I value about ma, but the most important thing is my confidence. I carry myself with more confidence I am more sure of myself meaning, I do not question myself as often.
granitemiller Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Confidence and Peace. MA has really helped my anxiety. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" Confuciushttp://graniteshotokan.wordpress.com
KarateEd Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Picking just one is hard, but if I have too then I would say that I enjoy the challenge the most. I find that many of the other benefits are a consequence of the challenge itself, whether they be physical benefits, such as increased speed, or mental benefits, such as increased personal confidence.
