Wa-No-Michi
Yes,Patrick is quite right, thanks for sharing this sensei8TBH, I am not a great lover of anecdotes and metaphors, but I understand that they do have their place in terms of focusing the mind. I just think perhaps, that there are more salient / functional ways to get these sort of points over. But thats just me. joesteph
The bamboo farmer wasn't a rebellious man, nor was he the fool his farmer neighbors made him out to be. He was a farming entrepreneur, a man of vision who knew that something worth having wouldn't mean instant gratification. He was confident in himself, knowing in his heart that the taunts of his neighbors came from ignorance--and possibly reflected a secret fear that he who did something different would be successful. When the bamboo farmer stayed the course and met with success, not only was he no longer jeered, but others wanted to follow in his pioneer footsteps. And not a single "I told you so" was said by him. ~ JoeVee Arnis Jitsu/JuJitsu
bushido_man96
Thanks for sharing the story, Sensei8. I liked it. There is a lesson there. Good things come to those who wait, right?I do kind of look at it in an MA sense as the road to mastery sort of thing. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
