JCVD, a real actor in a real movie?

There is a new movie coming out staring Jean-Claude Van Damme.

From the reviews I saw on the internet, it seems JCVD really prove that he can be an actor and not just a MA machine. Most of his last movies were not even showing in theaters anymore so it is a come back on the big screen for him.

What do you guys think, did JCVD really launched his 2nd career?

I'm no t sure he had a first career to be honest with you. Although I do admit to watching bloodsport and cyborg quite a few times in my younger years.

Given the clips I've seen from his recent outings I'd be suprised if he managed this. But stranger things have happened. Shatner still has a job for instance.

the box for his new movie only has JCVD, his photo (looking careworn), and "The Untitled Van Damme Project" on that photo.

It says JCVD is Now Playing, and there's a synopsis and a trailer. The trailer is interesting, but ends with Coming Soon.

Fandango has it released on November 7, 2008. When I checked for theaters, it looks like it has limited engagements.
