bushido_man96
I was reading the latest issue of TKDTimes Magazine, and there was an article in it on Korea's MMA entity, called Spirit MC.The article discussed the setup of the organization, which has what appears to be a minor league, in which the competitors can get their feet wet, and then move up to the Spirit MC competitions, which are fairly fast-paced, and have a pretty good rules setup, as far as it relates to competition. Here is a brief look at it on Wiki; its fairly incomplete: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_MCHere is info on their next upcoming event: http://mmamadness.com/events.html?event_id=2049I thought it looked interesting, and it appears be well set up. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
KarateEd
I hadn't heard of it before. Do any American TV stations play the fights? Ed
bushido_man96
Not as far as I could tell. It seems to be a Korean deal at this point. But perhaps we shall see some of their fighters make their way into some of the bigger promotions. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
NightOwl
Unfortunately (as I like Korea), I've heard that the MMA scene in Korea isn't in so great of shape, as far as top tier levels go. Supposedly many of the higher level Korean MMA fighters train abroad as it is hard to find good training partners. Looking at the old PRIDE records Korean mma fighters usually haven't done that well, which is surprising to me knowing of the strong martial arts culture there. However of all organizations the UFC seems to have its eye on the country, especially with the rise of Dong Hyun "Stun Gun" Kim who has started to gain quite a following. Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
bushido_man96
He'll probably work his way towards something more promising, if he's that good. It would be cool to see. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
