Danny boy
Your trainer should know who to contact and he should be the one who thinks that you should be ready to compete,if you are an independent and train yourself then I'd suggest you go and do a couple of rounds at the local boxing club and if there are any kickboxing clubs spar them aswell, then you will know if you are ready or just anxious. The more rounds you do the better, this will get you ready for the ring. Good luck.

Prodigy-Child
hey pick up some continuous sparring experiance. that will get you really geared up towards the ring. some of the best full contact fighters in amateur and pro fought in continuous before full contact. if you wanna go straight into full though check out http://www.i-can.net and there is a sign up sheet for amateur kickboxing under the disney martial arts festival good luck You can boo me if you want, You know I'm right!-Chris Rock
