RichardZ
Good point, but it would seem to be a more monitored setting for kids.
bushido_man96
One would hope, at least. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
RichardZ
As we see youth play sports and/0r become involved in certain atheltic activities, I have seen orgs, coaches, etc., develop a entire separate routine with certain guidelines for the youth. In other words, usually the youth have their own
bushido_man96
If this is done like you say, then I think it can be a good thing. I think that too many people view it as teaching kids to fight, though, and I'm not sure the mainstream would fall in with that too well. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
RichardZ
People used to think the same think about Judo when it first came around, then Karate, then Kung Fu, people think martial arts IS ALL about fighting. (caps for emphasis) This has been going on for awhilw.I remember when I wanted to study Judo, the mainstream thought it was a Jap art to choke someone to death. Then upon Karate, a art to pull out the spine. And so on. baronbvp
Wow, that would be AWESOME! I would love to be able to pull out a mugger's spine. That would certainly disable him and scare his friends. Only as good as I make myself be, only as bad as I let myself be.Martial arts are like kinetic chess. Your move. RichardZ
Yep. Also to mention that the Karateka would wind up in jail. Perhaps in solidary like the guy the movie, "The Longest Yard"
Ranpu
I'm shocked, kids that young... they should be promoted to like physical activity, but like that... that's insane, to enter MMA a person should at least be a teenager with the concept of when to use it, how to control yourself, and keep yourself from using it in an un-needed situation, I personally want to go into MMA, I'm 16, but still age 3? that's nuts, They may be avoiding video games and other bad things, but they are putting themselfs at to high a risk and there will often be at least 5 people who fight outside of the gym even though they're taught not to, it's just how kids are. I cannot prevent the wind from blowing, but I can adjust my sails to make it work for me
RichardZ
Ranpu, as it was stated, kids in MMA may have to have a separate curriculum, monitoring, and/or guidelines.
dwarf2
The effects of this type of training i think will be seen later. There's developement in these young people that has not happened and will not happen . Who will be there to tell these children to stop hitting the other kid who pushed them. The child is on the ground he hits the other child as hard as he can 2 strikes and he is out but the child keeps striking. Dont worry because he has been trained he will know how to put all his force in to the strikes and the other child who pushed him im sure he will be fine. The effects after that will been seen . I think the training would be good but use gear and dont let them just kill each other. I see a lack of maturity with the ability to do great damage. Dont fear weakness fear being all powerful without control.
