According to postings on mmaweekly, Randy Couture will face Brock Lesnar on November 15. It will be a 5 round fight, which implies that the title is on the line.

Okay, where the heck did this come from? Lesnar a title match? I know Nog and Mir are tied up with their schedualed bout, but what? 2-1 record and fighting for a belt?

Now, how do you think it will go down? Does Randy have to game plan to beat that big a man? Is there still enough magic left for Captain America to pull off a win one more time?

Just read this myself. It's great that Randy's back. I see this being his way to get out of the UFC legally. But still there's a plus Randy's back. He's building a magical gameplan topick Lesnar apart. You have to remember Lesnar only has 3 profights. And of those fights one opponent was a can with a small record. The second being Frank Mir who had less than stellar preformances since returning from his injury. And Herring's about a 50/50 fighter. Lesnar lacks experince in the octogon and in mma in general. He's a great wrestler no doubt noone can take that away from him. He's just nothad the time to be put into some of the gut check type situations that verterns of the sport have been in.

Never bet against Captin American.

I'm thrilled to hear Randy's coming back, even against someone who probibly dosen't deserve a title fight at this point.

Let's face it, Lesner is an awesome force of nature. He's a supurb wrestler, and he's learning. He looks better each time he's in the octagon. All those together are a scary combination. He's definalty bound for great things if he keeps on this track.

However, Couture has been there done that. He's fought the best and bigggest in the division and beaten them. He's also shown the ability to adapt his training camp and game plan around the strenghts of his adversary. This is a man you can't count out. Granted, someday, his camp won't be as intesne as it needs to be and his age will start to catch up. But, if he wants this fight (and I can't imagine that he wouldn't) he should be able to take it. His skill in the overall game is better. Period.

I will say, that Brock's sheer physicallity is something that Couture hasn't ahd to deal with to this extent. But like pitbull, I'm not betting agianst him.

Now, if I were one of the other heavyweights with a bunch of bouts on the big stage and had been waiting for a shot...then I'd be pretty upset to hear about Lesner getting a crack with so few fights.

Still, Dana White knows how to sell his product and right now, people want to see Brock fight. So he'll give it to them.

I like this set up. Lesnar doesn't have to win to prove himself; just survive. I think he can. I would love to see this fight go all 5 rounds.

I love Couture as a fighter. I think he can win this match, but, I think he can lose it, too. We've seen it many times in MMA; it just takes one shot. But, like everyone else, I am not going against Randy.

This would be a fun fight to watch. Lesnar is getting better, and soon, he'll be contending for sure.
