DWx Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I gotta admit I like all the Wushu and wire work. Hero and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon are on my lists of favourites as is Kung Fu Hustle . Van Damme films are pretty good too and of course all the Bruce Lee movies. "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius
bushido_man96 Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Kung Fu Hustle was quite funny, I will admit that. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
doug_kissaki Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 "Best of the Best" and "Bloodsport".However, there is one movie that will always have special meaning for me...I was 17, I had trained for all of 6 months, made my green belt and stopped going to karate. I was pretty much out of it all together when I went to see "The Karate Kid".I was back in the dojo two days later. Doughttps://www.kissakikai.com
moriniuk Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 The other Tony Jaa film was Tom Yam Gung (Prawn Soup)Enter the Dragon, Ong Bak, Kung Fu Hustle https://www.bkkmuaythai.piczo.com
ElShaft Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Enter the DragonKill Bill vol 1 and 2 both have some amazing fight scenesZatoichiDrunken Master "The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilised community , against his will, is to prevent harm to others" (J.S Mill, On Liberty; 135)
tufrthanu Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 The third "Bourne" film as I recall had some pretty good fight scenes I remember him having a rather long one with this terrorist and I remember one spot where he put him into an outer wrist lock throw and the guy did a standing jumping back flip and landed on his feet to get out of it.Road House with the late Patrick Swayze also had some good fight scenes. I'm not sure what the name of it was but wasn't there also a recent film with Djimon Honsou that had alot of good fighting in it? Long Live the Fighters!
KarateGeorge Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Ong Bak ranks as one of my favorites. Hero rates pretty high as well, and if I want to get a little "old school" and go back a few decades, Enter the Dragon is a great classic martial arts film.
NewLevel Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I have got to say my favorite Karate flick lately has been Kuro-Obi!Every Karateka should see that film!My other tops:The Karate Kid 1-3, (The Next Karate Kid wasn't bad, but Macchio was missing...)Enter The DragonFighter In The Wind "In time of grave public crisis, one must have the courage to face a million and one opponents..." - Gichin Funakoshi
