Sin Style Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 hi, im now starting up wing chun and later jeet kune do, the guy who runs it told me they do alot of tournaments, i was wondering if they have weight rules like boxing as if seen some members at the gym and they look well tough. if it has what would be best weight to be ?
ckdstudent Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 It doesn't really matter, you don't get to choose your weight category, its chosen for you based on your weight. ---------Pil SungJimmy B
Sin Style Posted June 20, 2002 Author Posted June 20, 2002 ok thanx would u happen to what category about 75 kilo's would (eg, middleweight, heavyweigth etc)
-- Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 Don't worry yourself over it too much. After all, a 250 lb hulking brute can't take a punch to the throat any better than a little 100 lb guy can. Wing Chun's about tact. d-----
Bon Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 People on this board aren't familar with the tournament rules that you're going to enter. Every tournament has different rules and the rules might even vary from tournament to tournament down there. It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
