KarateEd
I am the only one I know of in my family that has consistently been involved in MA and attained a BB. My dad trained for a year or so back when I first started in TSD. I had a cousin that studied Yoshikai for a few years around the same time I was studying TSD. It has been 20 years since either of them have practiced, as far as I know. Ed

Kieran-Lilith
Dad studied TKD for a long time. He quit a bit after he met my mom, though. My brother and I took it up, and then Mom got into it, so everyone is trained in some style. Gramps was in the military. I think his father was before him, too.At our dojo there's just a whole bunch of families training together. We have a mom and her three kids; a mom, a dad, and their two kids; my family; a mom and her two kids; a dad and his daughter; dad and his two boys....the list goes on. We refer to each other by our "clans." Hee. Tiger1962
No one else in my family has trained before. I always wanted to but never thought I was good enough or able to. NightOwl
Somewhat. Military service does (both world wars, Marines, Air Force, Navy, Army), and there were some boxers and wrestlers in there to boot (grandparents and some uncles). My gf is into ma's to boot but I guess you couldn't qualify her as family. Truestar
I thought I posted in here already but don't see it. I am the first and hope to not be the last. Although currently the ideas of a family don't seem likely it will probably be inevitable.
Chikara
My family's very religious (the kind that frowns a lot on martial arts). Yet, both my mom and dad did it for 2 months, my brother 1 month so far, and my great aunt got to brown belt many years ago. The religious side of our family knows nothing of what we do. Hee hee hee! Chikara karate es el amor de mi vida.
