IcemanSK Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 At the moment I am favoring Taegeuk Chil Jang both in performance and teaching. The concepts and subtleties are challenging both to student and teacher! Nice choice!I'd say Koryo for me. I want to learn the pre-1974 version, too. Being a good fighter is One thing. Being a good person is Everything. Kevin "Superkick" McClinton
bushido_man96 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I have seen Koryo, and kind of psuedo-learned it at one time. It is a fun form to do. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
tori Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I enjoy doing whatever form is most difficult for me at the time. My Nidan kata I felt were tough: Jion, Gankaku, Nijushiho, and Hangetsu. So I practice them often. Still need more practice. As for what one I like to watch, any of them. Kata is beautiful. Live life, train hard, but laugh often.
CTTKDKing Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 I like the WTF 1st Dan form Koreo. It's easy to do, but hard to do good. Requires a lot of balance. "The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering."
BLueDevil Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Form 4 Here's a guy doing at full speed: And here's Jeff Speakman doing a variation in his movie: A Perfect Weaponhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPqoIEexbjg There is no teacher but the enemy.
bushido_man96 Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Now that I have had time to really think about it, I have to say Se Jong hyung. It is a brief form, but very powerful, for me, anyways. I really like doing this form. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
cjgotti Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I enjoyed Koryo and a couple of the color belt forms such as Taegeuk Oh Jang and Pawlge Pal Jang
