Protagonist Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Is there anyone who can recommend a great dojo in Colorado, (more specifically in the Colorado Springs area) that teaches karate (any form it doesn't matter)? I'm just not one-hundred percent happy with my sensei's dojo, or with his way of teaching, and I don't really want to give up on karate. I'm also doing my own research of dojos in my area as well. Also, can anyone recommend any great dojos that teach Jujitsu?
Rateh Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Well there's an Omega Martial Arts school in castle rock, I don't know how far that is from you. If the colorado group of Omega is anything like the utah one, the instructors are excellent people, and the training is supurb. The head of the organization/style is in colorado. JohnASE Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Sorry. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone in Colorado Springs but here are a couple in Denver.http://honbu.enshin.com/http://coloradobudokan.com/Both are very reputable instructors. I suppose they might have affiliated dojos near you.Good luck in your search and your research! John - ASE Martial Arts Supplyhttps://www.asemartialarts.com
NievesOSK Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 From their website: Our karate system is unique; a combination of Aikdo, Hopkido, Isshinryu, and Ju Jitsu on a strong Tae Kwon Do base.Sounds like a psuedo TKD school.Well there's an Omega Martial Arts school in castle rock, I don't know how far that is from you. Rateh Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 It's taekwondo with japanese weapon forms, and throws and ground fighting which is taught in a different class, though all higher ranked color belts are required to know how to fall and roll properly.
