bushido_man96 Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 I thought I would ask what everyone has as far as Martial Arts equipment goes. I am sure that the school owners will most likely have more equipment than most, but I noticed that I have quite a bit laying around the house, and thought it would make a good topic. My inventory:1 Powerline free standing bag1 old stretching machine3 clapper pads2 square target pads1 rubber training knife1 rubber band gun w/ammo1 set of nunchaku (that I rarely use. It even has the safety foam.)4 kicking shields4 rattan swords2 wooden round shields1 metal heater shield2 rattan axes1 rattan polearm1 suit of armor (upper body only)1 helm1 set of foot/shin pads2 sets of hand/forearm pads (1 set for the weapons fighting)1 set of knee pads (for the weapons fighting)1 chest protector1 headgear https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

tallgeese Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Cross, I too have from time to time used the motorcycle helmet for training purposes. Nothing says "elbow your partner in the head as hard as you can" like a helmet does It is a great tool, and one overlook often. For self defense simulations at full power I haven't found much that's better. For my part at least, I should thank Paul Vunak for pounding all his training partners like that in an old 80's training video that I saw during my formative years. Probibly scarred me for life. http://alphajiujitsu.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJhRVuwbm__LwXPvFMReMww

Oh, to get those training days back...I also forgot to mention a small hanging bag that I noticed in the basement. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
