From the Patriot Ledger:

Sen. James Timilty, D-Walpole, a Canton native, is pushing an amendment in the Senate budget plan that would add oversight of the sport to the duties of the state Executive Office of Public Safety.

Passage of the amendment would clear the way for the increasingly popular Ultimate Fighting Championship, the leading organization in the sport, to stage a card in Massachusetts for the first time.
