G95champ Posted June 19, 2002 Posted June 19, 2002 The sign of a true martial artist is to be man enough to walk away. Sticks and Stones will break my bones and names will never hurt me. You know that don't ya? Turn the other cheek. However I don't see your point. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
-- Posted June 19, 2002 Author Posted June 19, 2002 Hey, time out! Lau Gar, I didn't mean to offend you in any way. It was a joke; I'm sorry it came across the wrong way. Truce? d-----

-- Posted June 20, 2002 Author Posted June 20, 2002 Everyone has at some time stumbled or tripped as they were walking. The natural reaction is the immediately correct this fault by stabalizing yourself. And yet verbally, when people err, they do not stabalize themselves in such a way. Instead, they turn to point fingers, trying to find someone whom they can blame for tripping them. And in doing this, they fall hard to the ground, and getting up is much more difficult than if they had corrected themselves in the first place. Truly, the mightiest of men are those who are able to correct their errors before they become mistakes. ~Gandhi d-----

-- Posted June 24, 2002 Author Posted June 24, 2002 Calm down. I'm Pakistani, too. Now come on, look at the political condition of the place. My dad's a politician, his entire family line is. When somethin bad goes down, we know about it even before the media does. It's a beautiful place, to be sure, but war and hatred has reduced it to ahes. Ever seen any of the old pictures of what Kahmir used to look like? Y'know, fields full of flowers, majestic snow-capped mountains and all? The smoke and ash from mortar fire has killed nearly 80% of the original flora. The country's falling apart. I myself consider it a wonderful place, being fom Karachi, but it's not what it used to be. d-----
