bushido_man96 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 My personal philosophy of the ma's is very simple. At the end of the day, it's about combative efficiency first and foremost. Everything else is seconday to learing to fight. There is nothing wrong with placing worth on the other philosophical outlooks spoken of above. They are all highly valid. Most are developed as a result managing to stay with training and continuing to get up off the mat. I think sometimes, we get so caught up in those other things that are developed via training that we lose focus on what the "martial" in the name means.Amen, tallgeese! Amen!!! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
unknownstyle Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 my philososophy of karate is to train constantly, train hard, train smart. protect yourself and the ones around you who cant protect themselves, pass on what you have been taught the way you were taught, dont change it to meet the approval of the public eye. never fight unless it is the last resort.i hope thats what you were looking for "Live life easy and peacefully, but when it is time to fight become ferocious."
