I didn't care for Fearless, but I liked Rumble in the Bronx. I also like the fights in the Bourne series.

I liked the bourne movies too.. :) quick and realistic.. :) :)

I'm all for realism.

It is so easy to find a MA movie with flips, jumps, wires and whatnot, the other thing is much harder.

I actually thought Fighter in the Wind has the best fight scenes so far (if you leave out the amount of damage he takes from knives an swords ;) )

but in the mastery of his passions.

I prefer more realistic fight scenes, but I make exceptions for certain movie genres. If a comedy has all sorts of outlandish moves, jumps, and such, then I enjoy it for what it is. Of course, it needs to make me laugh, or else it has failed miserably. I agree with Night Owl in that if extraordinary moves are included in, say, an action movie, it is best if they are presented in a way where it might, maybe one-time-in-a-million, be possible to pull them off.

Isn't it hard to read the subtitles and pay attention to all the teqniques used throughout the movie in the subtitled ones?

I prefer realistic fight scenes, but I also enjoy movies like Crouching Tiger.

I don't think movies need to be realistic. Usually, they're about escaping from reality. I understand people are passionate about martial arts and want it portrayed accurately, but sometimes it's fun to just let go and get lost in a fantasy.

Of course, it's much easier to do that with some movies than others. I can think of several movies I've seen lately where I've thought "Aw, come on" more often than "Wow, that was cool." Hey, sometimes slamming a bad movie is fun too!
