This past year, my instructor had a pleasant announcement to make. Her assistant instructor, a second dan, and her own teacher, a fifth dan, were getting married. Their dating had been one of those "best-kept secrets," and they were flying off to Las Vegas for the wedding and honeymoon. We adult members of the dojang made sure to give congratulatory cards and presents. We were really very happy for them.
