I broke four (wet and moldy) fence posts with an axe kick once.

that is certainly a unique break. i've never heard of such a thing, that's cool. but i don't think my neighbors would appreciate me busting down our fence with my hands and feet

I like to break with the round kick. I can do 4 boards with a back leg round kick, using the ball of the foot (standard pine boards, 12x12). I also like to do a front leg round kick with using the instep.

Bushido_man that's a great one with ball of the foot round house. I applaude you.

My best is attemp so far is three with a reverse punch. I've on tried breaking on about 6 times in the last 10 years. It's just something we don't do.

i use 2.5 inch tile with 1 inch spacing , i can break 10 easily like that. also brick with no spacing i can break 8 normal house bricks.

I think that there is no 1 style , and that to truly become a great martial artist and person you must take information from where ever you can.

i like the round kick as well, i want to work on my instep though, did you do any conditioning on it first before you began?

Nope, just went and did it. Afterwards, the foot turns really nice colors, and I get a line down the center of my foot that is not colored, and is about a half-inch wide. After a while, the color goes away, though.

One thing you can do is kick a heavy bag with your instep, and that will begin to build up some toleration. Start with one board, as well.

Thanks, pittbullJudoka. :) I had a buddy, who didn't have any MA training at the time, break three pine boards with a straight punch as well. I don't know that I could do 3 boards. My middle brother did 3 like that with a palm heel strike.

I broke my hand sliding into second base...

So far, I havent topped that

Pardon the pun, but that is a tough break, man. :P I rolled my ankle once stretching out for second base...that sucked...a lot. :bawling:
