Ti-Kwon-Leap Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 C'mon Bretty.... Boring is defined as throwing 211 punches in eight rounds and landing only 49 of them. Of the 328 punches Lewis threw, 205 of them were jabs, most of which hit tyson square in the face. That leaves 123 punches that were not jabs. Were you watching a different fight than the rest of us ? Maybe you found it boring because Lewis made knocking "IronMike" to the canvas look so easy. And G95... I don't believe that Tyson was saying those things merely to promote the fight, there are other ways to promote fights. I believe he is just an ass of low charachter and now he's kissin up so he can get another shot at the title, which by the way he doesn't deserve but hey, it's just my opinion Ti-Kwon-Leap"Annoying the ignorant since 1961"
Knuth Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 Even if Lewis is boring he won. Thats what fighting is all about, getting the job done. Semper Fi
G95champ Posted June 10, 2002 Author Posted June 10, 2002 I don't know I not taking up for Tysons words by any means but in every interview I have saw after the fight he was a differant person. (did you see the one with his kids) Loosing has a way of humbeling us. However I swear I really think Tyson has been putting on a great act for the past few months. No question he has a short tempor and goes wild at times but I think he used that to make this pay day a bit bigger. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Ti-Kwon-Leap Posted June 11, 2002 Posted June 11, 2002 I don't agree G95, I think Mike has never learned to control himself, and as rich as he is he never will have to. I don't think he knows the meaning of the word humble and frankly, his assanine behavior is not in my opinion the result of careful planning to build controversy, he's just a little boy in a mans body, lashing out in a totally uncontrolled spaz attack of desperation. When you look at his behavior in a nutshell, it becomes more apparent. The man clearly needs help. It's just pathetic and sad. Someone in the news stated that Mike is probably the nicest guy in the Tyson camp, so I don't think he'll be attending charm school any time soon. Ti-Kwon-Leap"Annoying the ignorant since 1961"
G95champ Posted June 11, 2002 Author Posted June 11, 2002 I will agree with your last statement that Tyson is the best guy in his camp. That IMO has been his biggest problem since Customotto died. He got people arround him who did not care for him as a person but cared about his money. Time will tell but as wild as he was before the fight and as calm as he was after is a big swing. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Ti-Kwon-Leap Posted June 11, 2002 Posted June 11, 2002 Time will tell, as you said. Ti-Kwon-Leap"Annoying the ignorant since 1961"
