ZeRo Posted June 8, 2002 Posted June 8, 2002 does anyone from england train in the S.O? if so what do you train in, karate or kickboxing? do you thinks its a good organisation?
Eye of the Tiger Posted June 8, 2002 Posted June 8, 2002 I am from England and I do karate and kickboxing with the Sama Organisation. The karate is composed of the fighting style of Wado Ryu, the stance from shotokan, and includes kobodo (weapons training). Its a very traditional style and is quite hard but is probobly the best self defence karate I have ever seen as it uses a lot of throws and sweeps as well as plenty of kicks and strikes. Kickboxing is full contact and you have to be very fit to particicpate in it. The clubs are great and are far better than any other karate club I have seen. I use karate as a one self defence as it includes every thing inclueding some grappling techniques, and use my kickboxing to improve my speed, strengh and my power. http://www.agibson.freeuk.com _________________ Kickboxer and Wado ryu Karate SAMA Organisation Former black belt ECKA Karate From England 14 years old [ This Message was edited by: Eye of the Tiger on 2002-06-08 10:12 ] [ This Message was edited by: Eye of the Tiger on 2002-06-08 10:17 ]
