bushido_man96
I believe one should spar in the same way you plan on defending yourself on the street with the exception of crippling strikes( groin, eyes, throat, ect). But most martial art schools spar with sport rules. This is the main issue. It is important to train like you fight. There is nothing wrong with sport sparring rules. They are great for continuous, controlled training, but you need to change it up from time to time, as well. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
pittbullJudoka
Bushido_man I agree there's nothing wrong with sparring with sport rules on a time to time basis. We'll do it on a rare instance at our dojo. This is mostly done for a fun to play with type thing. But sport rule sparring will teach one the importance or speed and explosiveness into a single technique or short combonation.
