ps1 Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Naah, preferred mine better.I brought algebra into Karate. Bet that’s not been done too many times before on this board!Look harder I think you'll find that many of us have presented physics in conjuction with an answer/ argument. In the end it physics determines all of it, you're quite right. a_ninja Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 well i beleive that you should just put all your body into it, and just have your mind set, and also only twist your fist out at the end of the punch... im not sure if there is such things as ki and chi, i have experimented but had no sucess so all my power is from my mind and body the best fight is one that doesnt happen
pers Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Power initiates from the floor (good stance ) through the hips and towards the target , performing the technique correctly with fluidity and speed accumulates power . never give up !
Jeet Kune Do Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Instead of just Throwing my fist by extending my arm, I throw my whole body behind the fist, ..so I am no punching with my fist, I am puching with my body...my body is the weapon... A drop of sweat spent in practice is a drop of blood saved in a battle.A person who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the man doing it.

All to do with good technique - being able to deliver as much Kinetic energy (using the correct force) as quickly as possible, whilst not putting yourself in a position where you are vulnerable to being hit. Movement is key. "The difference between the possible and impossible is one's will""saya no uchi de katsu" - Victory in the scabbbard of the sword. We could talk about it all day, but if we actually got together and could "see" what each is saying, you might be pretty close together.Or, it could be the opposite, I guess. However, there is often something lost in the translation. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

bushido_man96 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Ah, tai-sabaki. The more I read about it, the more interested I get in it. We get into in TKD, but in some different ways than other styles do it, like Aikido and Karate. However, the more I learn, the more I put together and make things happen a little bit. All research, I guess. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
