MuayTB1 Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 Of course a thaiboxer is going to win in the ring, but out of the ring is a different story. "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
iamrushman Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 disagree.......same goes for college degrees...pay your money and get your degree.....send your money in and get your degree........internet,mail order, go to the printer , pay and have one made........ summery..... it's not what on the wall or your waist but what is in your head and how you use it. with humble respects. rushman (karate forums sensei)3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon"saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson

thaiboxerken Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 A thaiboxer outside of the ring is a dangerous thing.. Then he can use all of his Muay Thai techniques, headbutts, throws, locks and chokes. Muay Thai is a complete system, not just a ring sport. F-S-K Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 i had my belt giving ceremony 2 sundays ago and got my yellow belt in kickboxing, i deserved it and i know i put in the work and the effort, so a grading every three months but then theres people there 2 months and they get a belt, theres this guy who started after me and he went up two belts to orange, i thought this was unfair as why should one student go up to another belt, although this gave me the impression that belts dont mean [word edited out] really and as long as I know that im training to my maximum and putting in the effort then everythingn is ok.
MuayTB1 Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 I know that there isn't any belt in Muay Thai. Is there belts in kickboxing? "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
thaiboxerken Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 kickboxing isn't a martial art.. Kickboxing is just a sport that several Martial Arts compete in. So.. just like Muay Thai, the only belts are won in the ring. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
MuayTB1 Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 So I guess who ever is getting yellow belts or what ever in a kickboxing school is getting jiped off unless they don't have to pay like 40 dallor for it. thaiboxerken Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 It depends, maybe the belt system is implemented just for that school so the instructor can keep track. It can be a good thing, or a bad thing. I would NEVER pay a belt-testing fee that cost more than a new belt though, and that goes for ANY martial art. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
WadoGuy Posted August 8, 2001 Posted August 8, 2001 From my experience so far, I feel belts can be a means by which technical progress is measured. Now, do they mean *anything*....well....I guess out on the street they mean squat. I'm sure there have been high ranking individuals who have been totally waxed outside of the dojo.
