i keep seing these adds for martial armor own the backs and in "inside kungfu magazine" i was wondering if anyone knows if this stuff is good for tournies or not. i was considering getting it but im not sure if its worth the price tag not to mention if its even legal in most tournies.

I purchased the martial armor from Century for my sons. In tournaments they (both are under 18 ) are required to wear some chest protection. The ones provided by the tournament organizers were too big and bulky. The Armor is lightweight and fits well. It also won't ride up on you when you throw kicks like some of the other bulkier chest protectors. The Armor is thinner then most chest protectors and doesn't provide the same level of protection that the thicker can offer. But, both my sons liked the Armor and have used them in a number of touramanets.
