bushido_man96 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I think another interesting look at this is to compare 'olde tyme boxing' stances with those of today. Fighting with bare knuckles meant that you had to be more careful not to break your hand somehow.Very true. When bare knuckle was in vogue, I would believe that the body was targeted more than the head is today, because of the chance of breaking the hands. This would definitely change the strategy of the fights. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Rainbow_Warrior Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 I think that after breaking your hands once , you wont have that problem very often.I broke my right hand in a fight when I was 13 . Now , I have a very thick knuckles ( just in my right hand ) I can hit a door ,or a normal diameter wall with full power without damage to my bones. ´´ The evil may win a round , but not the fight ´´
bushido_man96 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 It won't work that way for everyone, though. The bones in the hand are quite fragile compared to the bones of the head. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
