First thought: Don't take those kids' lunch money

Second thought: Great, great match. Seriously, that was on the quality level that I have seen in mma. Definitely if both these kids keep it up, they could be real contenders. Also, it was nice to see a chinese style going at it ...nice throw (although I couldn't help but notice that if the karate kid had taken some ground training, he could have set up a leg lock early on in the match had it been allowed). Hm, I guess this is a divine test against my 'anti-kids' policy....

That's some good fighting.

A kids' challenge match; that is nuts. I don't know what to think, really. The kids are good, no doubt there. However, do you think that this kind of thing is good for kids, though?

I am kind of torn, here. On one hand, I want kids to know what a fight would be like, if they get into one, as far as contact goes. But on the other hand, I don't know if setting up a match like this is the way to go.

What do you guys think? I am looking too deeply into this? Would you let your kid do a fight like this? Is it that much different than, say, your kid Wrestling in a tournament? Maybe it is not so bad; these two did not look hurt terribly bad at the end. Maybe it is good?

I was thinking the same thing bushido the kids are amazing martial artist and everything, and they seemed to enjoy it and not get injured... but at the same time they seem really young for this and i don't know how i feel about it.

I have mixed emotions, but in the end I keep watching it because well I'm impressed.

Yeah, it was impressive. It kind of reminded me of the kind of fights that the kids that do Muay Thai in Thailand have. However, I think a lot of those kids get their bodies so abused that they are done with Martial Arts by the time they are 30. I would hate to see that happen to my kids.

Agreed, even though I'm 18 and just getting in to martial arts I have to say i would even hate for that to happen to myself. Pushing your self is one thing but theres a fine line of pushing your self and doing to much that adds up after years of abuse. I would hate to not be able to keep training at that age, and it would only be a shame if these kids ended up like that. All the hard work only to last until half way through your life... when it could last until the day you die.

Sorry was rambling , i hope my post made sense.
