ediamond
I've been watching this Heian Nidan video and it is one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Even though it is all Japanese and I don't speak Japanese! Can someone tell me who produced it, or appears in it? All I have seen is Heian Nidan, I'd like to find out if the other katas exist in this series, and how I can track them down, purchase them and absorb all that Shotokan-goodness. Next on deck for me is Heian Sandan...The video can be found at here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiIgTdEfI0Q)The video was originally posted by a guy in Argentina I think but his English is not good and could not help me. He mentioned something about a "Program ARES" but I could find no reference to it on the net. Thanks for whatever help you can provide! Osu! ps1
Heian NidanI think he knows it's Heian Nidan. He is asking who is in it and who produced it. Do you know? I don't have a clue. ps1
Here's the Youtube website that has the rest of the vids by that user.http://www.youtube.com/user/dvdmilleniumThere's a website link to an Argentinian based Shotokan school. I'm not sure if it's in Portugese or Spanish as I speak and read neither. Hope it helps a little. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius." ediamond
I've been in contact with the guy (dvdmillenium) and here's what he said:I comment to you that you prune to look for five excellent videos through called program ARES search like: masatoshi nakayama, appears like legacy or jka, but I tell you that they are five excellent videos in where they show the katas shotokan.greetings! As you can see, the language barrier is proving to be a bit challenging. I searched on ARES and it is pretty clear that the guy in the video is not Nakayama, all to no avail. Does anyone speak or read Japanese that could translate? G95champ
Its not Nakayama he died back in the 80's I think thsoe videos are of much higher quality than anything produced then. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
